What have we been up to?

August was another busy month for PACE, one which combined client work and lovely summer holidays. Here are some of the highlights.

  • Conducting surgeries with one of our legal clients, to give fee-earners 1 to 1 help in implementing a business development programme
  • Composing an article on referral networks for Legal Hub
  • Coaching a client on a final pitch for a key panel appointment
  • Preparing for our conversion to LLP status on 1 September
  • Composing an article for PM Magazine on designing your future
  • Planning our business development activities for our new financial year

And as life is not all about work, here are the highlights and observations from our various holidays!

  • Experiencing the horror of health and safety rules in France who require a 40 something to wear hired speedos..urghhhh!!
  • Realising that children under five are not that interested in kite flying
  • Reading ‘The kite runner’ – a truly fantastic book
  • The joys of a 24 hour delay at Miami airport after a cancelled BA flight
  • Sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico whilst thankfully avoiding hurricane Dean
  • Helping 2 year old daughter climb a castle tower so she could pretend to be a princess
  • Being inspired by the Royal Academy’s exhibition ‘Impressionists by the Sea’
  • Delighting in the joy of cream teas, rolling countryside with no watches or alarm clocks for a whole week
  • Driving the last 450 miles back from France at 90mph (except the UK bit) with the knowledge that your gearbox is about to go
  • Hoping that being in a restaurant in Les Eyzies, 700 miles from home would be a total escape..until your son wanders off and returns with a friend from his class at school!
  • Expecting rapid service in restaurants around Perpignan in a party of 19!
  • Realising that cycling down the Pyrenees is a lot easier than going up!
  • Getting an A in module 2 of the CIM Marketing Diploma exams
